Opportunities at Mercy

Individuals can volunteer at Mercy for personal fulfillment and to contribute their time & talents. No matter the reason for becoming a Mercy Volunteer, there are many different departments in the hospital where a volunteer can engage, such as:

  1. Clinical Departments
  2. Inpatient Medical/Surgical Floors
  3. Administrative Offices

Central Maryland Volunteer Sites

In addition to the Downtown campus, there are also three Mercy Personal Physician practice sites where you can volunteer, located in Overlea, Glen Burnie & Lutherville. They all have unique opportunities. Click below for more information!

Perks of Volunteering

Volunteers are offered flexible schedules including day, evening, and weekend hours. In appreciation, Mercy offers a daily meal stipend and free, secure, on-campus/garage parking during a Volunteer's shift.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Must agree to a background check (18 or older)
  • Must provide basic health information, including vaccination records (COVID Vaccine included)
