Pharmacy

Outpatient pharmacy prescriptions can be filled at Walgreens Pharmacy, inside the lobby of McAuley Plaza. The pharmacy is open Monday through Saturday. You can reach Walgreens Pharmacy at Mercy by calling 410-625-2618 or you can have your prescription faxed to 410-625-6213.

Phone and TV Services

Phone and TV services can be accessed once you arrive in your patient room. Patients will enjoy a number of interactive services throughout their stay using Mercy’s multi-media system. Patients can enjoy programming on flat screen televisions, browse the Internet, view religious services from the Mercy’s McAuley Chapel and even call a nurse for assistance. There's also an education channel where patients can learn more about many medical procedures and conditions.

Reading Materials

Mercy volunteers visit patient rooms with a magazine and book cart for patients to select their preferred reading material.

Online Services

Mercy provides MyChart for outpatient and inpatient health information. MyChart offers patients online access to your health care records and gives you the ability to pay your bill online, manage your appointments, medications and more.

Interpreter Services

Mercy offers, free of charge, interpreter services to patients and their family members. Among them, Deaf Talk, a telephonic and computer device which provides the patient with a view of the interpreter through a computer screen.

Social Work

Links patients with community resources. Social workers handle discharge planning and counseling for patients having difficulty with illnesses and planning.

TTY

Enables hearing/speech impaired persons to communicate by telephone through the use of a typewriter-type device. The relay operator communicates by teletype with the hearing/speech impaired person and relays the information to the other caller verbally. Mercy's TTY number is 410-332-9888.

Admitting

The Patient Access Department is responsible for providing patients and visitors with their first impression of the hospital. The Department handles a variety of requests from physicians, nurses, patients and other hospital staff and has staff located in areas throughout the hospital for your convenience.

Pre-Admission Testing

Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) handles all testing done prior to scheduled procedures, including surgery, or scheduled admissions to the hospital.

Medical Records

Medical records are managed by Mercy's Health Information Services Department. Learn more about obtaining a copy of your medical records or birth certificate.

Patient Relations

Mercy’s Patient Relations staff is responsible for your overall experience, safety and satisfaction while visiting the hospital.

Scheduling Center

Mercy’s Scheduling Center assists patients in scheduling surgeries and ancillary tests and includes an Insurance Verification Team who obtain authorizations for related services.

Security

Mercy’s Security Department is on duty 24-hours a day, 365-days a year and is committed to providing patients, staff and visitors with a safe and secure environment. The department provides a range of services including ID badge access and escorts to and from Mercy parking facilities.
