What is a CT (Computed Tomography) Scan?
Computed tomography (CT scan or CAT scan) uses X-ray images to make cross-sectional pictures of the body to look for abnormalities, such as orthopedic injuries, heart disease or cancers. CT scan data can be enhanced or used in conjunction with a PET scan to provide greater detail.
